In Mockingjay, Katniss talks to Haymitch. He flat out says Cinna is dead. No “missing.” No “presumed.” Just dead. He was beaten to death by the Peacekeepers. That’s it. No last words. No final act of defiance. Just a brutal, quiet end for the most loyal person in the whole damn series.
