Elderly folks often lose thirst sensation. So if Grandma says she’s not thirsty, hand her a glass anyway. Please. She’ll thank you later.
What About Overhydration?
Yes, you can drown from the inside. It’s rare, but chugging gallons of water in an hour can mess with your sodium levels. Don’t do that.
Your body isn’t a fish. If you feel bloated or nauseous after water, stop. You’ve crossed the line into “too much.”
Balance is the key. Not a flood, not a drought. Just a steady, happy stream.
