You’ve probably noticed that brands don’t always shout the sheet count from the package. That’s intentional. By hiding the number, they make it harder to compare prices. Sneaky, right?
But here’s a pro tip: look at the bottom of the pack. Most brands list “sheet count per roll” in tiny print. Once you spot that, you’ll never be fooled by a “value pack” again. It’s like being a toilet paper detective.

The Environmental Angle
Sheets matter for the planet too. A roll with 1,000 sheets uses less cardboard per sheet than three small rolls of 333 each. That means less waste in landfills. Plus, thicker sheets (like three-ply) often mean you use fewer sheets overall.
So, next time you’re in the aisle, ask yourself: do I want softness or longevity? It’s a trade-off that’s strangely fascinating once you think about it.
