We don’t eat sugar cubes by the handful. But we sip them. That’s the trick. Your brain sees a drink. Your mouth tastes a sweet, fizzy treat.
Your body, however, receives a sugar bomb. Ten cubes in one go. Imagine dropping them all into your morning coffee. That’s insane, right?
Yet, we do it daily without blinking. It’s a weird, fun little truth. One that makes you look at that can a little differently.
The Fun Part: Stacking Those Cubes
Let’s get weird. If you stacked nine sugar cubes, they’d be about as tall as a standard pencil eraser. Now imagine ten. That’s a small, sugary tower.
Or try this: Line them up. Nine sugar cubes in a row is roughly four inches long. That’s the length of your thumb. You’re drinking a thumb-sized stick of sugar.
It’s even more fun to think about volume. Ten sugar cubes fill about a quarter of a teacup. So a can of Coke is like drinking a quarter-cup of plain sugar dissolved in water. Yikes.
