Here’s the truth: you can’t eliminate every ant in the UK. They’re nature’s little tillers, aerating soil and eating pests. So ask yourself: is the nest ruining the lawn, or just being an eyesore? If it’s small, sometimes you can just sweep the mound flat and move on. (But if it’s the size of a dinner plate, yeah, go for the diatomaceous earth.)
