Hold your tassel upside down. Look at the bottom loops. They’re connected. That’s wrong. Snip them open.
Use sharp scissors. Dull scissors will crush your yarn and make the ends look fuzzy like an angry caterpillar. You want clean cuts. Snap, snap, snap!
Now hold the tassel by its head. Give the strands a good shake. They will immediately try to tangle themselves into a bird’s nest. Don’t panic. That’s just their personality.
