Only if you care about where your brainrot comes from. When you watch The Goldbergs or Abbott Elementary on ABC, you’re feeding content into the same ecosystem that makes Frozen 4 and Galactic Starcruiser hotel nightmares. It’s all one big, happy, slightly terrifying family.
But also? It means you can now say with confidence: “ABC is Disney,” then watch someone’s face melt when you add: “And so is Dancing with the Stars.” You’re welcome. Now go watch Wheel of Fortune—just remember it’s technically spinning for the Mouse.
Final surprising fact: The very first show on ABC, back in 1948, was Toast of the Town (later The Ed Sullivan Show). No one then could have guessed that 50 years later, that network would be selling mouse ears and Star Wars lightsabers. Time is a flat circle, and it’s wearing a Mickey Mouse watch.
