At its core, the bank holiday question is about pausing. We live in a world that never stops—notifications, deadlines, grocery lists—but Good Friday whispers that it’s okay to stop. Even if you’re not religious, you can honor the idea of a collective pause.
The chocolate eggs will be there on Sunday. The bank will reopen on Tuesday. The email you’re worried about? It can wait. So can you. The best part of a bank holiday is the permission it gives you to exist without producing.
So here’s your takeaway: Yes, Easter Friday is a bank holiday if you live in the UK, Australia, Canada, and a dozen other places. Check your local calendar, plan your chocolate supply, and then let the day unfold slowly. Sometimes the most meaningful thing you can do is let Friday just be Friday. Happy long weekend.
