Look at a map of Fort Bend County, and you’ll see a big blob of Katy near the top. This is the fastest-growing part of Katy, especially around areas like Cinco Ranch, Seven Meadows, and Cross Creek Ranch. If you see neighborhoods with massive new homes and lakes that look like a resort, you are probably in Fort Bend County.
It’s a bit of a mind-bender. You tell someone you live in “Katy,” and they might picture a small Texas town. But the Fort Bend portion is a sprawling suburban empire of master-planned communities. It’s less “old Katy” and more “new Katy,” and it’s growing faster than a teenager after a growth spurt.
