First, don’t panic. If that package absolutely has to go out, use a UPS or FedEx drop-off. They’re usually open on Easter Monday because they don’t observe federal holidays the same way. (Unless it’s a Sunday, but that’s a whole other story.)
Is the Post Office Open on Easter Monday?
Second, embrace the irony: Easter Monday is a day of rest, even for the people who deliver your bills. Maybe you should rest too, and stop trying to mail things. Leave the bunny on the counter, grab a cup of tea, and let the postal workers enjoy their chocolate.
The One Exception to the Rule
If you live in a small town where the Post Office is run by a single, very dedicated human named Carol, check the local Facebook group. Some small offices do open for a few hours on Easter Monday because Carol likes you. But in big cities? Forget it. Carol is on vacation.
And if you’re reading this on Easter Monday itself? I’m sorry. You’re probably standing in front of a locked door right now, phone in hand, Googling desperately. You have my deepest sympathies, and a virtual high-five for your optimism.
