This week is intense. You might feel a bit tired, hungry, or grumpy by day two. That’s normal. It’s your body throwing a tantrum because it misses sugar and salt. Have a herbal tea and a stern word with yourself.
Do not do this for more than a week. Seriously. It’s a sprint, not a marathon. After the seven days, reintroduce healthy carbs (think sweet potato, oats) slowly. You’ll have dropped one to two stone of water, bloat, and initial fat loss, and you’ll have a massive psychological victory under your belt.
The “Yeah, But” Section
“Yeah, but what if I cheat?” You’re human. A slip-up doesn’t ruin the week. Just get back on the wagon. One slice of pizza won’t make you gain two stone. But a whole pizza and a bottle of wine might. Be gentle but firm with yourself.
“What about exercise?” Keep it low-impact. Your body is already under dietary stress. Walking, stretching, and maybe some light resistance bands. This is not the week to become a CrossFit champion. Unless you want to accidentally climb a wall of protein bars.
