But why did the creators of the Ninja Turtles choose these specific names? Well, it's likely because they wanted to pay homage to the artistic masters of the past. I mean, who wouldn't want to associate their heroes with the likes of Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo Buonarroti?
It's also interesting to think about how the turtles' names reflect their individual traits. For example, Leonardo is the leader of the group, just like the famous artist was a master of his craft. And Michelangelo is the most laid-back and creative of the turtles, which suits his namesake's artistic style perfectly.
So, what do you think - is it cool or what that the Ninja Turtles have such a rich history behind their names? It's definitely a fun fact to share with friends and family, and it adds a whole new layer of depth to the characters we love.
