Now fast forward to the Red Sea. The Israelites are trapped between the ocean and an angry Egyptian army. They’re panicking. Moses is probably sweating. And what does God say? “Stand firm and see the deliverance of the LORD” (Exodus 14:13).

He doesn’t say, “Build a boat real quick.” He says stand still and watch me split this water. (Side note: How awkward would it be if they started swimming and God was like, “I had a whole plan for dry ground, guys.”)
The lesson here? Your impossible situation might be the setup for God to do something you can’t even imagine. The sea didn’t part until they stepped in. Faith often requires a wet foot before the miracle.
What About Your “Too Big” Problem?
I know what you’re thinking: “That’s fine for Bible heroes, but what about my actual impossible thing? My marriage? My health? That dream I buried five years ago?”
Here’s the part nobody tells you: the “nothing impossible” promise doesn’t guarantee it’ll be easy. It guarantees it’s possible. There’s a difference. Jesus said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
So your job isn’t to figure out the how. Your job is to hand God the impossible—yelling, crying, or laughing like Abraham—and say, “Okay, You handle the physics of this.”
