You’ll see QLED everywhere. That’s Samsung’s fancy name for LED TVs with a quantum dot filter. Good TVs, very bright. But they can’t turn off individual pixels. So blacks are very good, but not perfect. You’ll notice the difference in a dark room.
LED/LCD is the standard stuff. Cheap, bright, gets the job done. But it uses a backlight that’s always on. Black scenes look grayish in the corners. You’ve probably lived with this your whole life. You just didn’t know better. Don’t worry.
MicroLED? That’s the future. Perfect blacks like OLED, but much brighter and no burn-in. It’s also the price of a small car right now. So. Maybe wait on that one.
