Auburn plays in the Southeastern Conference. That’s the SEC. It’s a football monster. And the TV deals for this conference are legendarily complicated.
Think of it like a huge buffet. You’ve got ESPN, CBS, and the SEC Network. But the menu changes every week. It’s a total guessing game!
This isn’t your local high school game. This is a multi-billion dollar scheduling mystery. And you, dear fan, are the detective.
The Main Players: The Big Three Networks
First, you have CBS. They held the SEC’s big game for decades. Think of it as the “old guard” of college football TV. They’d pick the juiciest matchup every Saturday.
But the rules changed. Everything changed. Starting in 2026, the big new kid on the block is ABC and ESPN. They now have the SEC on ABC package.
This is massive. It means you might watch Auburn on a regular network channel. Or on cable. Or even on the ESPN app. It’s chaos. Beautiful, glorious chaos.
Then there’s the SEC Network. It’s ESPN’s 24/7 SEC love fest. Auburn plays there a lot. Especially for the less-hyped games. You know, the ones against Vanderbilt or a noon game against Mississippi State.
