Most major grocery stores—think Kroger, Safeway, Albertsons, Publix—are usually open. But, and this is a big but, they often keep shortened hours. Like, open 8 AM to 4 PM instead of their usual marathon. So, if you need that forgotten bag of carrots, get there before the Easter Bunny takes a nap.
Walmart is a wild card. Most Walmart Supercenters are open on Easter, but some have reduced hours. Your best bet? Check your local store’s website. Or, you know, just assume they’re open and hope for the best. Living on the edge.
Target is usually open too, but again, with trimmed hours. They’re great for last-minute baskets, candy, or a new Easter dress. Just don’t expect to waltz in at 10 PM. That’s a no-go.
