Did you know the Lions have a TV tradition? They’ve played on Thanksgiving since 1934. That’s over 80 years of turkey, stuffing, and defensive touchdowns. It’s the longest-running one-team holiday gig in sports.
Another funny detail: When the Lions play on Monday Night Football, the game usually starts at 8:15 PM Eastern—but only if there isn’t a doubleheader. Doubleheaders are like bonus fries: great, but they mess up your bedtime.
If the game is on NFL Network, you might need a special subscription. That’s right—your wallet gets a vote on whether you watch the Lions or not. As if life wasn’t expensive enough.
What About Your Time Zone?
Here’s where it gets silly. If you live in New York, a 1:00 PM Lions game is lunchtime. If you’re in Denver, it’s 11:00 AM—brunch football! And in Hawaii? Don’t ask. You’ll be waking up at 7:00 AM with coffee and a blanket.

The Lions themselves don’t care about your time zone. They just want to eat the other team. But you? You need to convert that hour like a mathematician with a remote control.
Use a search engine. Type “Lions game time my timezone.” It’s like magic, but with less glitter and more data.
