If you see a game on your calendar at 1:25 PM PT, that’s the classic, rainy-afternoon slot. It’s like the default setting for the 12s. Why the weird 25 minutes? It gives TV networks a little breathing room so you don’t miss the opening kickoff.
But let’s be real—check your specific game week. The NFL loves to flex schedules late in the season. It’s like waiting for a bus that might suddenly become a rocket ship. You don’t want to show up at 1 PM when the real kickoff is at 5:20 PM.
Home Games vs. Road Games
This is where it gets fun. When the Seahawks play at Lumen Field, the time is almost always set for the local Fox or CBS broadcast. But when they travel east? Oh boy. A 10:00 AM Pacific kickoff feels like a breakfast showdown—coffee in one hand, screaming at a tablet in the other.
Ever tried to watch Seattle play the Dolphins in Miami at 10 AM? It’s surreal. The sun is barely up in Washington, but the players are sweating in the Florida humidity. Your internal clock gets totally confused. It’s like having dinner at sunrise.
