Is he playing a day session or a night session? That’s the big fork in the road. Day sessions usually start around 11:00 AM or 1:00 PM local time. Night sessions? Those can slide into the 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM slot.
Here’s the trick: Novak almost always gets the prime time slot. Why? Because he’s Novak Djokovic. The guy sells tickets. Organizers love him because he turns a Tuesday afternoon into a blockbuster event.
But don’t assume. Sometimes they put him on early to avoid the heat. Or late to maximize drama. It’s a guessing game that drives us all crazy. You are not alone in your confusion.
Where do you find the actual time?
Don’t trust the random tweet from a guy named “TennisFan4Ever.” Please. Use the official tournament app or website. That is your Bible. Most tournaments update it live, even when they’re running late.
Another pro move: look at the order of play. It tells you which match comes before his. If there’s a women’s match scheduled right before, add about 90 minutes to that start time. That’s your real-world estimate.
And for the love of all things fluffy, account for time zones. If you’re in New York and the tournament is in Paris, you’re doing math at 3:00 AM. Just convert it. Don’t wing it.
