Oh, the rumor mill. It starts churning as early as September. You’ll see “reliable sources” on Reddit claiming Oasis is reuniting just for Reading. Spoiler: they probably aren’t.
Reading Festival 2026 Tickets, Dates Update and Full 2026 Lineup
If you hear a name being whispered around October, take it with a grain of salt. And maybe a whole salt shaker. Treat rumors like a catchy indie band—enjoy the hype, but don’t get too attached until it’s confirmed.
My personal favorite rumor from last cycle? That Dolly Parton was doing a secret set. Did it happen? No. Would it have been the greatest moment in festival history? Absolutely.
How to Survive the Wait (Without Losing Your Mind)
First, follow Reading’s official social media. Not just their main account—follow their TikTok if you have one. They drop little teasers there, like a 3-second video of a guitar or a suspiciously empty stage.
Second, join a fan Discord or subreddit. Misery loves company, and speculation is half the fun. You’ll meet people who also think a 2009 pop-punk reunion is "basically confirmed."
Third, distract yourself. Re-watch highlights from Reading 2026. Listen to some bands you’ve never heard of. Be ready to discover your next obsession before the big reveal.
