That’s it. That’s the episode. “Life and Death” is the title—pretty on the nose, right? West meets his end in a shocking, brutal ambush. He’s gunned down while trying to rescue a kidnapped girl.
It happens fast. Too fast. One moment he’s a hero, the next he’s gone. You’ll be left staring at the screen, mouth open.
But here’s the kicker: he doesn’t just die. He dies saving someone. Classic West—always the good guy, right to the end.
A Quirky Detail: The Actor’s Exit
Titus Makin Jr., who plays West, wanted to leave the show. No drama, no scandal. He just felt it was time for his character’s story to end. So the writers gave him a hero’s send-off.
Funny thing? Makin reportedly asked for a death that would “mean something.” He got it. West’s death sparks a massive manhunt and shakes the entire LAPD precinct.
And get this: the episode originally aired in April 2026. Springtime, flowers blooming, and West bites the dust. Mother Nature has a dark sense of humor.
