Ah, the million-dollar question. Cue dramatic music. Ziva’s appearance in Seasons 17 and 18 is a guest arc, not a full-time return. Cote de Pablo has said in interviews that she loves the character but isn’t ready to commit to a full series. So her time is limited. But don’t despair—the writers gave her a satisfying conclusion. No cliffhanger that makes you throw your remote. Well, maybe a small one. But it’s the kind that lets you imagine her happy.

Here’s the thing about Ziva David: she lives in the hearts of fans forever. Every time someone quotes, “I am not a patient person,” or makes a sarcastic comment about hummus, she’s back. Her legacy is immortal. So if you’re asking “When does she come back?” the real answer is: whenever you hit play on Season 17, Episode 11. And then again when you rewatch it at 2 a.m. with a bowl of popcorn.
