We have a pretty good idea of when the pyramids were built, but the how is what keeps YouTube conspiracy theorists in business. Aliens? Magical ramps? Enslaved armies?
Sorry to burst the alien bubble, but it was mostly just really clever engineering and thousands of well-fed, skilled workers. Recent discoveries found the workers’ village, complete with bakeries and breweries. They weren’t slaves; they were more like a union construction crew with a solid lunch plan.
They used ramps, levers, and a ton of manpower. Did they have complex machines? Nah. Just brains, sweat, and a lot of rope. Sometimes the best solution is the simplest one, even when you’re moving a 70-ton block of granite up a hill.
