Right now, Rockstar has only confirmed GTA 6 for a Fall 2026 release on consoles. That’s the main game, not the online mode. History tells us GTA Online didn’t drop with GTA V in 2013; it came two weeks later on October 1st.
But here’s the twist: that was a different era. They’re probably cooking GTA 6 Online alongside the single-player this time. I’d bet my left kidney we’ll see it launch simultaneously or within a month of the main game—so late 2026 to early 2026.
Why so vague? Because Rockstar loves drip-feeding us like we’re pigeons in a park. They’ll wait until the last second to drop a dedicated trailer for the online mode, then announce the date.
The PC Wait (Brace Yourself)
Now, if you’re a PC player, grab a snack and a pillow. You’re going to be waiting a lot longer. GTA V came to PC a full 18 months after consoles. GTA 6 will likely follow the same pattern—maybe a year or so later.
What Time Will GTA 6 Come Out On Release Day? - RockstarINTEL
Don’t shoot the messenger! It’s just how Rockstar rolls. They want that sweet, sweet double-dip from console sales first. So, for PC, we’re looking at 2027 at the absolute earliest. Ouch.
And hey, maybe they’ll skip the “Enhanced Edition” nonsense this time? (Spoiler: they probably won’t.)
