The winner of The Traitors UK Season 1 was Aaron Evans, a 23-year-old Welsh accountant who proved that being genuinely nice can be your ultimate weapon. Aaron, alongside fellow Faithfuls Meryl Williams and Hannah Byczkowski, banished the last Traitor — the infamous Wilfred Webster — in the final dramatic round table. It was a nail-biter that had us screaming at our screens, right?
Here’s the kicker: Aaron didn’t win by being a cunning detective; he won by staying authentic and building trust. He was the quiet, kind-hearted player who kept his head down while the Traitors devoured each other. That’s the magic of this show — sometimes, your best strategy is just being yourself.
The Traitor Who Almost Won It All
Let’s give a round of applause to Wilfred Webster, the 28-year-old hospitality worker who played a masterclass in manipulation. He got so close to the prize, only to be betrayed by his own paranoia and a last-minute vote from his fellow Faithfuls. Ouch. Wilf’s downfall was his own brilliance — he couldn’t stop scheming, even when he had the win in his pocket.
You’ve got to admire the audacity, though. He recruited, he backstabbed, and he kept up a poker face that would make a statue jealous. Fun fact: Aaron, Meryl, and Hannah each took home £14,333 from the total £43,000 prize pot. Not bad for a game of people-reading, huh?
