As I’m writing this, we are looking at exactly [insert current countdown number here] days until kick-off. Exactly. Not “about,” not “roughly.” Exactly.
That’s fewer days than most people’s New Year’s resolutions last. So yes, it’s close.
A Little Perspective, Please
Let’s put this number in terms we both understand. That’s about the same amount of time it takes for your friend Steve to decide which takeout to order. Remember Steve? He’s still deciding.
It’s also fewer days than a sloth takes to finish a salad. I love sloths, but they are not built for World Cup preparation.
